Calendar, Meeting, Budget, Mattress, & More!

Below are a few announcements and reminders concerning the NHS Band.

First, our revised calendar is available here for the 2020 Summer/Fall. Please review it and let us know if you have any questions.

Second, we will hold a virtual webinar meeting for ALL band members and parents on Monday, August 10, 2020, at 7 PM via Zoom. Click Here to register in advance for this webinar. After registering, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing information about joining the webinar.

This webinar meeting is important for several reasons:

1. We will discuss the upcoming marching band season and updates concerning modifications that will need to be made from years prior.

2. Our band booster board will present their proposed budget for the membership’s approval for the upcoming school year. You may review the budget by clicking here. Please contact Todd Tucker if you have a question concerning the proposed budget.

3. Our Band Booster Board for 2020 2021 will be discussing opportunities for our parents to help serve the band onv various committees. If you are interested in serving or chairing a booster committee, please reach out to Todd Tucker or Kim Shaw. We are in the process of establishing committees for the 2020-2021 school year. 3. We will have a representative from CFS (Custom Fundraising Solutions) at our meeting to discuss our 6th Annual Mattress Fundraiser. The actual sale is Saturday, August 29, 2020. More information can be found here. Please continue to help spread the word to your friends, neighbors, and coworkers. We don’t have to sell products, fill out order forms, handle money, or deliver anything! All we need from you is your help promoting the event. Do you need to replace a bed in your home?  Now is the time!  The Northwestern High School Band is hosting a Mattress Sale on Saturday, August 29th from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Every purchase benefits the Northwestern Band Program. There will be over 30+ name brand models on display for you to try. All beds are brand new, made to order, available in all sizes, and come with factory warranties!  There will also be pillows, mattress protectors, frames and even adjustable bases! Best of all, prices are less than retail stores! All forms of payment accepted! Layaway, $59 down no credit needed program and delivery are available. Lastly, music for the 2020 Marching Band Season (halftime, pre-game, stands tunes, warm-ups) will be available soon via our website. We will send out an e-mail to our membership detailing access instructions as soon as it is uploaded.
