The Northwestern High School band directors work closely with music education interns from Winthrop University and other professional musicians in the area. If your student would like to further improve their skills in music beyond band, please contact one of the directors for a list of possible instructors.

🎷 DUTCHMAN CREEK MIDDLE SCHOOL: Will Ellison
Mr. Ellison is the director at Dutchman Creek Middle School and plays a huge role in developing the young musicians who will soon join our ranks. His dedication to fundamentals and love of music help shape the future of our band program, one student at a time. We’re grateful for all he does to build strong, confident musicians.

🎼 RAWLINSON ROAD MIDDLE SCHOOL: Latoya Johnson
Ms. Johnson directs the band at Rawlinson Road Middle School and is joining us this year, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for helping young musicians grow. Her dedication, patience, and commitment to excellence lay the foundation that prepares these students for success in high school band and beyond. We are incredibly excited to have her on board and know she will be an outstanding addition to our band family.
