I hope everyone had a peaceful and joyous holiday season and that your new year is off to a wonderful start! This semester, we are hitting the ground running with region band auditions this Saturday! We are also busy planning to host a winterguard show at NHS on the 29th. We will go into more detail during the band parent meeting Monday evening. Please plan to attend in person or on Zoom through the link listed below.

- This Saturday, January 8, Region Band Auditions at Blythewood High School!
- Audition times are posted in the band room.
- Students need to make their own travel arrangements as there will not be a bus available for this event. Please contact Mr. Yost if there is a transportation concern. 35 students are attending from Northwestern, and we would be happy to help arrange a carpool for those who need it.
- Additional information, and maps, will be distributed to students this Friday,
- We are hosting a winterguard show again this year on Saturday, January 29.
- At this time, it looks like we will have 60 ensembles participating, so it will be a full day, and we will need everyone’s help. This event is very similar to Olde English in how it is run, the required volunteers, and the amount of money it can raise for the booster club.
- Volunteer positions and times will be posted in Charms soon, and we will discuss the event in much more detail at the booster meeting on Monday, January 10. You can join on Zoom here!
- Students, be sure to get your syllabus/grading procedure form submitted on time!
- Students can find this assignment and all relevant information in Canvas.
- Parents, the 2nd Semester Calendar is attached to this message and posted on the band website. Please be sure to add these dates to your calendars as soon as possible.
- Please remember the next payment for the spring trip is due on January 15. Send your payment directly to Stamm Travel with your payment sheet!
- If you wish to pay using BCPs, please indicate this on the payment form you send to Stamm, and complete the BCP authorization form to transfer your payment. We will send one check to cover all BCP payments each month.
- There is still room for additional travelers, including parents, who are welcome to travel as tag-along. Please contact Mr. Yost if you want to join us on the trip and haven’t signed up yet.
