Guard & Percussion Sectionals – Waiver and Guidance

Early this past week, the RHSD3 administration granted us permission to start optional rehearsals for members of the Purple Regiment Colorguard and Percussion sections, as these groups can easily rehearse following the guidelines recommended by the South Carolina Band Directors Association and the CDC. Ms. Harmon and Mr. Walker will contact the students directly to set up the rehearsal day and times. Please be aware, students must bring the waiver (fully completed and signed) with them the first day they attend. They must also pass the temperature screening and answer no to the screening questions. If they do not pass the screening upon arrival, they will not be allowed to participate until they have completed a quarantine period and have been cleared by the district nurse. It is critical that a student stays home if they don’t feel well, are running a fever, or have been exposed to someone that has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Again, these are optional rehearsals and students are not required to attend if they are uncomfortable participating. I also assure you that we will do everything we can to ensure the risk for the students is as minimal as possible. Please feel free to contact me if there are any questions or concerns. Thank you.

Really sad to miss this big event but have two other grand dudes in their band concert at Dutchman Creek Middle School—same exact time.

Can't wait!
