Announcements – Week of 10/21

The following are some important announcements for the week of October 21, 2019.

Tuesday
All band students will meet with Mr. Tinker and Mr. Yost during the 4th block class period for a discussion about last Saturday and what next steps our program will take moving forward. Students will not need instruments in class on Tuesday but will need them for our evening rehearsal at 6:00 PM.

The Purple Regiment will rehearse from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM on Tuesday evening at the band field. Mr. Yost and Mr. Tinker invite any parent that would still like further information or clarification concerning last Saturday’s contest to meet with them from 7:45 PM – 8:30 PM in the strings room.

Wednesday/Thursday
Students will rehearse in class on both of these days but will be released at the bell.

Friday
Football Game – NHS vs. Fort Mill @ RHSD3 Stadium
Call Time is 6:15 PM in full uniform.
We will perform our marching show during halftime. We will follow our performance with the special recognition of our senior band members and their escorts. Senior families, please look for a separate e-mail from Mr. Tinker soon concerning Senior Night specifics.

Saturday
Our students, staff, and parents have worked so very hard to make this year’s marching season a successful one for all involved. Given the past circumstance, we wholeheartedly feel our students deserve the opportunity to perform Fortuna Machina one final time to celebrate each other and to share their talents and music with our community.

In lieu of our planned state contest performance, the Purple Regiment will perform in exhibition at the Providence Cup at Providence HS in Charlotte, NC. Our performance time is at 9:15 PM. A detailed itinerary for Saturday will be sent out as soon as it is finalized. Our performance time is 9:15 PM. Call time will be 5 PM at NHS.

Really sad to miss this big event but have two other grand dudes in their band concert at Dutchman Creek Middle School—same exact time.

Can't wait!
