Olde English Festival of Bands – Final Reminders

To Parent Volunteers for Olde English

OLDE ENGLISH is this Saturday 9/21. See you there!!!

Thank you so much for volunteering your time and efforts to support the Olde English Festival of Bands! If you have not signed up to volunteer, please sign up in Charms Now as this is our largest fundraiser of the year!!

A couple of housekeeping items on the day of Olde English

  • Bring your smile with you!!! The visiting Bands, their families, and friends are our guests for the day. We want to leave a “Great” impression as we will be representing our Bands, School District, and Community on this day!
  • Parking- Volunteers will need to Park in Spectator Parking on Constitution Blvd. The parking area off of Cherry Road and Hwy 5 will be reserved for bus parking for all Bands.  Parking on the paved lot behind the stadium is reserved for designated Band personnel, handicap parking and will be unavailable to volunteers.
  • Arrival Please plan to arrive at District Three Stadium on this Saturday approximately 10-15 minutes before your assigned work time. You should report to the Volunteer Check-in Station, which is located near the ticket booth behind the seating area on the spectator parking side of the stadium. There you will receive a wristband allowing you admission to Olde English and the opportunity to eat at the Volunteer’s Hospitality once your shift is completed.
  • Attire– If possible, we are asking for all Purple Regiment Volunteers to wear a Purple Shirt to Olde English Festival of Bands.
  • Be flexible- during the day, we might need to make staffing schedule changes based on needs.  As the need arises, be flexible if asked to help in other areas during your assigned shifts. As a team, we will succeed!
  • Baked Goods- Please bring all Baked Goods Items to be sold to the Bake Goods table at the stadium on Saturday between 9am-11am. Please make sure they are individually wrapped for sale. Please clearly mark any baked goods containing peanuts and peanut products. We still need items to sell at the Bake Sale on Saturday, September 21st at Olde English. All of the proceeds from the Bake Sale go to benefit the Northwestern and Rock Hill Band programs. We would love donations of individually wrapped goodies as well as fruit to sell. Whether you bake the items or pick them up from a bakery, please make sure they are individually wrapped for sale.
  • Director’s/Volunteer’s Hospitality– If you signed up (see list) to provide food items for Directors/Volunteer’s Hospitality, please bring to the stadium by 11 am. Please deliver your items to the grassy area under the scoreboard near the football team’s locker rooms. Please send all food (except crock pots) in disposable containers/pans/utensils. At the end of the day make sure to pick-up any crockpots, containers, etc. which you would like returned. We cannot be responsible for returning items.
  • The Purple Regiment Band will perform at 4:45 pm.  The Rock Hill High School volunteers will cover our volunteer duties during this time, and we will do the same for their volunteers during their band’s performance at 9:15 pm.
  • Air Grams– Air Grams will be sold for $2.00 at the stadium during Olde English. If you would like to recognize or praise your child, please purchase an Air Gram which will be announced after the band’s exhibition performance.
  • Any questions you might have during the day, please see Pam Bilton, NWHS Band Booster President or Todd Tucker, NWHS Band Booster Vice-President.

Really sad to miss this big event but have two other grand dudes in their band concert at Dutchman Creek Middle School—same exact time.

Can't wait!
