Band Camp Starts July 29!

Last night, we concluded a series of optional music rehearsals for the NHS Band. We are very excited to begin band camp next week and are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the 2019 Purple Regiment!

Please refer to the Summer Schedule for details regarding band camp times and attendance requirements.

Please note that both lunch and dinner are on your own for the first week of band camp. If you are unable to leave campus for meals, please plan to pack your lunch/dinner or bring money to visit nearby food establishments. Subway and Burger King are located across from the school. Students wishing to visit these restaurants are required to use designated crosswalks without exception. The band is not participating in the government-subsidized free-lunch program this year.

During the second week of band camp, lunch and dinner are provided by the band boosters. Upon arriving, no students are to leave campus during the second week of band camp until dismissed after the evening rehearsals.

As a reminder to our families, there is a mandatory parent/guardian meeting at 7 PM on August 1, 2019, in the band room. All students and at least one parent/guardian from each family are required to attend. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via e-mail or phone. If we are unable to answer your call, please leave a voice message, and we will be in touch.
