Congratulations to the Northwestern High School Concert Band and Symphonic Band for their overall superior ratings at the state concert performance assessments on March 26, 2019, at Nation Ford High School. The Concert Band performed in Class 4, and the Symphonic Band performed in Class 5. Both ensembles received superior ratings from four of the adjudicators and an excellent rating from the fifth. This year marks the sixth consecutive year that every Northwestern High School large ensemble (marching band, concert band, and jazz band) earned superior ratings in all state assessments administered by the South Carolina Band Directors Association – a total of twenty-nine superior performances during this period. Congratulations again to all our band students for your commitment to excellence and continuously striving to improve.
