Communication is our best asset. Parents and students should become familiar with the various tools our band program uses to distribute information:

CANVAS – Students enrolled in band classes will have a corresponding Canvas Course where parents can observe student progress, grades, and content.
REMIND – Text message notifications from band directors about band activities. Information on how to subscribe to these will be communicated soon!
FACEBOOK – The NHS Band Boosters maintain a Facebook page www.facebook.com/PurpleRegiment
TWITTER – Follow the band on Twitter using our handle: @NHSBands
E-MAIL – Make sure the band directors and band boosters have an accurate e-mail address for all parent/guardians and students. Please keep e-mail accounts up-to-date in your Charms account and be sure to sign-up to receive booster e-mail campaigns.

CHARMS – While much of the general information about the band will be available through the band website, the band uses an additional web utility called CHARMS to host information intended for members and parents only. CHARMS allows you to view up-to-date calendars, event lists, volunteer opportunities, handouts, forms, finance information (BCPs), and more. Clicking on an event on the calendar brings up details like call times, attendance requirements, and equipment/uniform specifications. You can even sync our electronic calendar with your personal electronic device. Contact Mr. Tinker about your login credentials.
We encourage you to become an active participant in the band boosters organization. We have a large number of parents who participate and volunteer their time. We have a great time together, and especially enjoy watching our children grow in this wonderful band program.
