The following are some important announcements for the NHS Band – Week of 10/16/2017.
Tuesday’s Rehearsal
Our rehearsal Tuesday evening is at Northwestern. Students should wear white shirts, marching shoes, and marching helmets. As the weather turns cooler, please plan accordingly. (Purple shirts for Colorguard).
Chick-Fil-A on Cherry Rd. is hosting another spirit day for the NHS Band on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Dine at Chick-Fil-A and a portion of the proceeds will go to help the Purple Regiment!
Friday – Football Game (Senior Night)
Call time is 6:30PM. Dress is Full Uniform. We will perform the full show on Friday; however, we will not use the ramps for Friday’s performance. Additional information about our Senior Recognition event will be sent to senior parents and students on Tuesday.
As a reminder to all band students while in the stands – please be aware of the expected and proper behavior while in uniform. Remember to stay in your section, stay off your phone, and comply with all chaperone and staff instructions.
Saturday – SCBDA Upper State 4A Championships
Please click here for an itinerary. Call time for a brief rehearsal is at 2PM. Our performance time is 9:15PM at Boiling Springs HS. Students, be sure you have your show shirts, black socks, and black socks when you arrive. Our ETA back to NHS is 12:30AM.

Our annual fruit fundraiser sale is in full force. More information about the Fruit Sale, including a link to online sales is available here.
Region Band & All-State Jazz Bands
Sign-ups to audition for the SCBDA Region Band and All-State Jazz Band will begin next week. Auditioning for Region Band is a requirement for all members participating in the Symphonic Honors class next semester. It is also a prerequisite for any member wishing to be considered for section leader for the 2018-2019 school year.
End of Quarter – This Wednesday!
The end of the the first quarter grading period is Wednesday, October 18, 2017. All winds are reminded of their two recording assignments (details in Canvas) that are due Wednesday at noon. These recording assignments must be turned in on Wednesday, no exceptions!!!
