The
Purple Regiment band block
is a fun and exciting place
to be. In order to keep it a
safe and hazard free
environment there are some
rules that apply. Only water
is allowed in band block.
Instruments are expensive
and can be challenging to
clean if food or drink is
spilled on them. Greasy
pizza stains are very
difficult to thoroughly
remove from uniforms.
Accidents can happen and you
certainly don't want that
greasy pizza stain to be on
your child's uniform,
especially if your child
follows the rules. If you
would like to give your
student food or drink,
please make arrangements to
meet them outside of band
block during 3rd quarter
break. Also, band block is
for current band members,
chaperones and staff. This
is for the safety of the
students, and protection of
their expensive instruments
and uniforms. Visitors are
not aware of the rules for
band block and may not
appreciate the value of the
items found there. Please do
not allow siblings to visit
your band student in band
block. They may visit outside of band block during the 3rd quarter break. Parents please help the chaperones and staff with these rules. It is important that everyone understand that it is for the benefit of all band members and it is not okay to make exceptions.
Please be aware that anytime the band travels by bus to an event and you choose for your student to NOT ride the bus back to school, a Travel Waiver form must be given to your student's chaperone for their bus or to Mr. Wells. These forms are available at each bus from the lead chaperone or they may be downloaded Here. Please refrain from signing the form until it is time to get your student (and all their belongings) from the bus after the event. Chaperones are required to see you sign the waiver and see you take your student with you. This is for your student's safety and allows the chaperones and staff to properly account for all students. We appreciate your cooperation.
Hospitality Needs
We are getting ready to hit the road
for the Competition Season. We needs
sodas, chips, and dessert snacks.
For new band parents we provide
meals for the band each week at the
competitions. You help us with the
budget when you donate these items.
Just drop them off in the band room.
